On December 2, 2025, the ceremony for the Golden Boy award was held in Turin. This prestigious accolade was awarded to PSG and France national team player Désiré Doué.
The judging panel emphasized his consistent performance and his contributions to the success of the Paris club in Europe. Doué joined PSG from Rennes in the summer of 2024 for a transfer fee of 50 million euros.
Thanks to the speed and ball-handling skills he displayed from a young age, he quickly became a key player for the team. His impact on the game was particularly evident during the Champions League playoff stages.
A decisive factor in winning the award was his outstanding performance in the tournament final. In the match against Inter, which ended 5–0, Doué scored two goals and provided one assist.
He was named the best player of the final. The Golden Boy award was first established in 2003 by the Italian publication Tuttosport.
This accolade is presented annually to the most talented football players under the age of 21 competing in Europe's top leagues. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
