Yesterday, reports about a traffic accident in Grozny—said to involve senior officials—spread quickly on social media. Later, some sources also began claiming that a motorcade belonging to Adam Kadyrov was involved.
According to circulating information, the motorcade was traveling at high speed and, after hitting an obstacle, several vehicles collided with one another. It is said that after the incident some streets in central Grozny were temporarily closed and an injured person was taken to hospital. However, there are still no officially confirmed, precise figures on who was injured, how many people received assistance, or their condition.
Amid this, another sensational rumor emerged: that UFC star Khamzat Chimaev was also in the motorcade at the time of the crash. However, the outlet “Chechnya Segodnya,” cited as an official source in Grozny, denied the claim, saying Chimaev is currently in Dubai and feels fine.
For context, 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov has repeatedly been mentioned in the media as one of the most talked-about children of the Chechen leader—some sources link him to responsible roles within the republic’s security structures.
