Iran's sky closed: why did Uzbekistan's flights return?

Due to the temporary closure of Iranian airspace, a number of flights related to Uzbekistan were forced to return to their departure airports, unable to continue their routes. In particular, Medina-Tashkent (7Q7742) and Medina-Fergana (7Q4442) flights returned to Medina, and the Tashkent-Kuwait (J9650) aircraft landed in Tashkent again after takeoff. Also, Samarkand-Jeddah (9S3303) returned to Samarkand, Urgench-Medina (2U7911) returned to Urgench, and the Jeddah-Tashkent flight (HY336) also turned back to Jeddah airport.

According to Reuters and Flightradar24, many international flights have been diverted or delayed due to restrictions in Iran's airspace. Later, there were reports that the airspace was reopened.

Currently, specialists are monitoring the situation. Passengers are advised to check the official notifications of the airline and the airport.
