Why was the Ellisons yacht hastily renamed?

American billionaire and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has once again come to the forefront of discussions about changing the name of his superyacht. The thing is, the yacht was named after the goddess of Japanese mythology - Izanami. But when it was said on the Internet that the name "reversed" (when it appears in some sources in the mirror) would have the same meaning as "I'm a Nazi," Ellison renamed the yacht Ronin.

The newly chosen name is not accidental: "ronin" means a wandering samurai who has lost his master. That is, instead of the previous "unfavorable similarity," a neutral and "genre-appropriate" historical term was chosen.

At the same time, various materials have emerged about Ellison's contacts with Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: some publications mention him in close circles with Netanyahu, and also write that he supported various Jewish and pro-Israel initiatives.
