Renowned American director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner were found dead in their home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. This was reported by American media outlets.
They were discovered on December 14 during the daytime, following an emergency services call. Details of the incident are still under investigation.
According to Deutsche Welle, the victims had stab wounds. The death of the couple has been confirmed by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and representatives of the family.
The police have stated that there are currently no suspects. Investigators are continuing their work at the scene and plan to question close relatives.
Rob Reiner was the creator of famous films such as "When Harry Met Sally," "Misery," "The Princess Bride," and "Stand by Me." His work is recognized as part of American cinema classics.
