Bakhodir Kurbanov announced plans to digitalize football in Uzbekistan

On January 30, the next reporting and election congress of the Football Association of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent. At the end of the meeting, the delegates unanimously re-elected the Chairman of the State Security Service, Colonel General Bakhodir Kurbanov, as the President of the UFA.
At the congress, Kurbanov listed the work done in the direction of digitalization of football during 2025 and the tasks set for the current year. His main idea is this: the less the "human factor" in football, the more transparency will increase, and the result will be visible in the international arena tomorrow.
One of the most important updates is the issue of the "National Football Electronic Platform." Kurbanov emphasized that previously, due to the lack of a unified common database for players, clubs could not fully utilize legal and economic mechanisms such as training fees. Now, every child who comes to the football school and their coach is electronically registered, the player's growth indicators are recorded in the system, and regular monitoring is carried out. It was also stated that clubs registered on the platform will have the opportunity to earn income through FIFA transfer payment mechanisms.
Kurbanov also emphasized refereeing: it was noted that the Academy of Football Referees was established to strengthen fairness and transparency in matches. He also said that there are plans to form and expand a team of women referees in this direction.
At the same time, the head did not hide the fact that there are still painful points in football schools and academies: insufficient transparency in the selection of young people, nepotism and parochialism. As a solution, it was noted that a new selection system based on a scientific approach will be created, the growth of talented youth through platforms will be observed, and transparent selection with the participation of specialists from different regions will be established.
In short, the main signal from the congress is one: the UFA is firmly moving towards systematic control and digital transparency, not "paperwork." If the stated plans actually work fully, this is more important for our football than the "current result" - it means infrastructure that will serve to train a strong generation in the future.
