New details have been revealed regarding the tragic incident in Russia. As reported earlier, a citizen of Uzbekistan died in an accident at the construction site of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court in St. Petersburg.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg issued an official statement confirming the identity of the deceased. According to the information, the victim was A.U., a citizen of Uzbekistan born in 2001 in the Surkhandarya region. Since April of this year, he had been in St. Petersburg, working as a metal structures installer.
According to reports, on September 16, during installation work, the young man fell from a height of 15 meters. Unfortunately, the severe injuries sustained led to his immediate death. The body was sent to the morgue, and investigators are currently conducting an inquiry into the incident, considering the possibility of initiating a criminal case.
The Consulate General and the representative office of the Agency for External Labor Migration in Moscow are in constant contact with the victim’s family and will provide all necessary organizational and legal assistance in repatriating the body to Uzbekistan.
Experts emphasize that the safety of compatriots working abroad is of utmost importance. It is stressed that labor migrants must strictly follow safety regulations, while employers must ensure constant monitoring of working conditions.
