The cutting of trees on Bobur street caused 1.5 billion soum in damages

As reported by the Ministry of Ecology, the damage caused by the cutting of trees and bushes on Bobur Street in Tashkent was estimated at nearly 1.5 billion soums. A total of 174 trees were cut down along the intersection of Nukus and Bobur streets in the Yakkasaray district. After the incident was investigated, inspectors drew up protocols and all materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office. According to the ministry, regulations were violated during the tree cutting process and the situation has been taken under management supervision. The Tashkent administration stated that those responsible for the incident would be punished. It is planned to plant more than 62,000 saplings and ornamental bushes in place of the cut trees. The administration also promised to strengthen oversight to prevent such cases from happening again.
