On January 26, near the famous Chorsu market in Tashkent, reports of a "fire at the market" quickly spread on social networks. The Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations has issued an official statement regarding this situation.
It was reported that on January 26 at 16:04, a fire broke out in a shop on the territory of the Chorsu market, located on Beruni Street in the Shaykhantakhur district. After that, rescue and fire-rescue units immediately departed and arrived at the scene at 16:08.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was contained at 4:20 PM, preventing its spread. Shortly after, at 16:25, the fire was completely extinguished. Most importantly, there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
According to the analysis, about 15 square meters of the store's basement burned and was damaged as a result of the fire. The causes of the incident are currently being investigated.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations asks citizens not to be subjected to rumors and to rely on official information. The situation in Chorsu was quickly brought under control - rescuers once again carried out the work quickly.
