According to DataReportal, as of October 2025, Uzbekistan recorded 33.9 million active mobile connections, equivalent to 91.1% of the total population. According to GSMA Intelligence, 95.6% of these connections are linked to 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
The number of active mobile numbers increased by 306 thousand (+0.9%) over the year. According to Ookla, the average mobile internet speed in the country reached 55.5 Mbps, while the fixed broadband internet speed reached 86.7 Mbps.
These figures increased by 53% and 25%, respectively, compared to the previous year. The report's authors emphasize that the data from October 2025 reflects digital development and changes in user behavior in Uzbekistan.
Regarding social networks, 14.1 million active users were recorded at the end of 2025, accounting for 37.9% of the population. Growth in this area amounted to 4.2 million (+41.7%) over the year.
According to DataReportal, Instagram is the most popular platform, with an audience of 14.1 million people. However, these figures are based only on advertising reach and may not reflect the actual number of users.
According to UN estimates, as of October 2025, Uzbekistan's total population stands at 37.2 million people. More than half of them are under 27 years old, and half of the population lives in urban areas.
