Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to Nepal appointed
Uzbekistan's first ambassador to Nepal, with residence in New Delhi, Sardor Rustambayev, presented his credentials to President Ramchandra Paudel. This was reported by the “Dunyo” news agency.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in trade, economy, hydropower, tourism, and education sectors. They also addressed collaboration on international platforms, including issues related to climate change and the ecology of mountainous regions.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 2018. Previously, Rustambayev served as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to France and Portugal.

He has been working within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system since 2000.
