The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has changed: Azizbek Ikromov has been officially appointed Minister

An important personnel change has been observed in the emergency situations system in Uzbekistan. By presidential decree, Major General Azizbek Isroilovich Ikromov has been appointed Minister of Emergency Situations. It was also noted that before the appointment, his candidacy was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
At the same time, the current minister, Botir Kudratkhodjayev, was dismissed from his post due to his transfer to another job. Kudratkhodjayev was appointed head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at the end of February 2025, and has been heading the ministry since then.
Briefly about the new minister: It is said that Azizbek Ikromov worked in various areas of public service, and recently worked as the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Fergana region.
Now the most interesting question is - what happens next? The main area in front of the Ministry of Emergency Situations: operational preparedness for emergencies, prevention, public awareness, and the effectiveness of rescue services. In short, the "siren" should not only be the voice, but the system should also work quickly. At this point, what the public expects from the new leader is order, reaction speed, and results.
