20 Modern Social Centers to Open for Vulnerable Groups in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan plans to establish 20 new social service centers aimed at supporting vulnerable segments of the population during the years 2026–2027. This was outlined in a corresponding government resolution.

The creation of these new centers will be based on the experience of pilot models currently operating in Andijan city and the Shayhontohur district of Tashkent. As these models have proven effective, the decision has been made to expand them nationwide.

These centers will provide comprehensive social assistance to those in need. Specifically, services will include rehabilitation, physiotherapy, therapeutic physical exercises, as well as additional services aimed at social adaptation. These efforts are designed to restore individuals' health and enhance their active participation in society.

According to the resolution, children facing difficult life circumstances will also have access to the necessary assistance through these centers. This step is considered a significant effort in protecting children and improving their physical and psychological well-being.

Individuals within the preferential category will be able to access services based on special referrals provided by “Inson” centers. Additionally, all application submission and review processes will be transitioned to a fully electronic system, eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy and time-consuming paperwork.

Experts believe the establishment of these centers will further strengthen social support for the population and play an essential role in demonstrating the government's humanitarian policies in practice.
