Central Bank sends Humans probe results to Tashkent police

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan reported on measures taken regarding the situation around Humans. Following the inspection, the regulator submitted the collected materials to the Tashkent City Police Department. Kursiv.uz reports. reports .

The Central Bank advised citizens to contact law enforcement agencies in the prescribed manner if they are dissatisfied with the service or have complaints. The regulator also reiterated that banks and payment organizations must ensure the protection of users’ rights.

As a reminder, in early December last year the Central Bank temporarily suspended Octogram’s (Paylov brand) payment services in the Humans app due to cases of fraudulent withdrawals. Users filed numerous complaints about funds being withdrawn via Humans, after which the regulator contacted Octogram and temporarily restricted P2P transfers to check the system’s security.

Later, Paylov and Humans issued separate statements and shifted responsibility for the withdrawal cases onto each other.
