A large quantity of narcotics hidden in the fuel tank of a Lacetti car entering from Tajikistan was uncovered at the Ravot border customs post in Beshariq district, Fergana region.
The driver (born in 1979) is a citizen residing in the Uzbekistan district of the region.
During the inspection, it was found that the fuel tank contained concealed narcotics: 10 kg 739 g of hashish (net weight), 412 g of marijuana and 35 g of opium, as well as 6,945 tablets of the potent drug “Royal”. The items were seized and documented in accordance with procedure.
The suspect was taken into custody, and a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 246 and Part 5 of Articles 25 and 273 of the Criminal Code. Investigative measures are underway to identify his criminal links, the report said.
