How to Perform Eid Prayer

Intend to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer for the pleasure of Allah.
- After the Imam says 'Allahu Akbar' (takbir), the congregation raises their hands and recites the opening takbir (Allahu Akbar) silently.
- After the takbir, keep your hands folded and recite the praise of Allah (Sana) silently. Then, the Imam raises his hands to his ears and says takbir three times. The congregation follows suit. After the first and second takbirs, hands are lowered to the sides. After the third takbir, hands are folded again, and one stands in the qiyam position.
- The Imam silently recites 'A'uzu' and 'Bismillah', then aloud recites Surah Al-Fatiha and another short sura. Takbir is said, followed by ruku (bowing) and sujud (prostration).
- Then, stand for the second rak'ah. After reciting Surah Al-Fatiha and another sura, without going into ruku, say takbir three times as in the first rak'ah.
- During the fourth takbir, do not raise your hands; instead, perform ruku and sujud following the Imam.
- After prostration, recite 'Attahiyyat', 'Salawat', and a supplication (Dua), then conclude the prayer with salam.
May Allah accept your worship in His presence!
