Court sentences individual who entered store with rifle

A court verdict has been announced regarding a high-profile incident that occurred in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. In October 2025, 33-year-old D.K. was held accountable for storming into a store with a TOZ-34 hunting rifle and assaulting his spouse.
According to investigation materials, the conflict was triggered by a financial dispute. The defendant had demanded the return of 3,500 US dollars and over 100 million soums that he had sent to his spouse from the Russian Federation. The argument surrounding this demand escalated into violence.
During the altercation, the man struck the victim on the head with the butt of the rifle. During the trial, the defendant partially admitted his guilt, stating that he had not planned a murder and only intended to recover his funds and personal belongings.
The court found D.K. guilty under Article 112 (threat of murder) and Article 277 (hooliganism involving the use of a weapon) of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months of imprisonment in a settlement penal colony.
Additionally, the defendant's hunting license was revoked, and the weapon belonging to him was confiscated.
In summary, this case once again demonstrates the severe legal consequences of attempting to resolve family disputes through the use of force.
