Oil spills into water again due to floods in Boysun

It has been reported that a liquid containing oil has flowed into a ditch in the Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region following heavy flash floods. The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change provided information regarding this incident.

According to the report, a working group consisting of officials from the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Ecology and the Ecopolice, in cooperation with other responsible agencies, is currently investigating the site. Preliminary findings indicate that at approximately 06:30 today, May 2, heavy flooding washed away a trench, causing the oil-mixed liquid to leak.

It is noted that investigations into the incident are ongoing, and additional information will be provided based on the final results.
