Another tragic traffic accident has been recorded in the Navoi region. The collision, which occurred on the morning of May 2, resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
According to reports, the incident took place in the Konimekh district of the Navoi region, on the A-379 Navoi—Uchkuduk highway passing through the "Karak ata" citizens' assembly.
Preliminary information indicates that a Nexia-3 passenger car was traveling in the Zarafshan—Navoi direction and exceeded the speed limit. On a dangerous curve, the driver lost control and veered into the oncoming lane. As a result, it collided with an oncoming Scania 114L truck.
Due to the force of the impact, the driver of the Nexia-3 and their passenger died at the scene from severe injuries.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and law enforcement agencies are currently conducting preliminary investigative actions.
It is worth noting that fatal traffic accidents have been increasing in the Navoi region recently. For instance, two people died in the Tomdi district in January, and four people lost their lives in another accident in the Konimekh district on February 22. Additionally, on April 22, one person died in a traffic accident involving a car driven by students in the Karmana district.
Experts are urging drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations, particularly by avoiding speeding.
