In the Karmana district of Navoi region, an unpleasant incident occurred that caused public concern. One of the children in a preschool institution was injured during play, and it was found that his arm was broken. However, the saddest part is that during the process of providing medical assistance, the responsible staff members made a serious mistake.
According to the information, instead of urgently taking the injured child to the hospital, the institution’s staff took him to a folk healer. This caused great dissatisfaction among the child’s parents and the local population. The parents who appealed to the Ombudsman’s institute emphasized that the child had been deprived of proper medical care and that his health was put at risk.
The internal affairs bodies of the Karmana district carried out a service inspection regarding the incident. The investigation confirmed that the kindergarten staff had shown negligence in their duties and irresponsibility concerning the child’s safety and health.
Following the inspection, appropriate measures were taken: the employment contract with the caregiver who neglected the child was immediately terminated. In addition, the assistant caregiver was subjected to disciplinary punishment.
