Holidays declared for Independence Day

In Uzbekistan, on the occasion of the wide celebration of September 1 — Independence Day, official days off have been set for the population. According to the government’s decision, no additional holidays have been designated this year, and existing rest days have not been shifted to other dates.

In this regard, employees with a five-day work week are provided with three consecutive days off. Namely, August 30 (Saturday), August 31 (Sunday), and September 1 (Monday, the holiday) are declared as rest days.

Meanwhile, employees with a six-day work schedule will have two days off. They can rest on August 31 (Sunday) and September 1 (Monday, Independence Day).

This arrangement creates broad opportunities for the population to celebrate the holiday in a family atmosphere together with their loved ones. At the same time, the absence of additional holidays ensures that work processes will not face disruptions.

Thus, on the eve of Independence Day, the people of Uzbekistan have the chance to honor national values, enjoy rest, and spend time in a festive mood.
