On August 23, around 07:00 in the morning, a serious road traffic accident occurred in the Tashkent region. According to information released by the Road Traffic Safety Department, the incident took place at the 4th kilometer of the A373 “Tashkent–Osh” highway, in the Yukori Chirchik district.
Details indicate that a Howo brand truck, designated for transporting cement, lost control and crashed into a Cobalt passenger car that was parked on the roadside. As a result of the strong impact, the passenger car overturned, and a fire broke out in the Howo truck.
Reports from the scene confirm that one passenger inside the Cobalt sustained injuries of varying severity and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire within a short period of time.
At present, a pre-investigation check is being conducted by the Yukori Chirchik district police department regarding the incident. Officials stated that the causes of the accident and the driver’s actions will be thoroughly examined, after which a legal assessment will be provided.
