Fines for minor offenses will be abolished in Uzbekistan

Fines for minor traffic violations to be canceled in Uzbekistan
It is planned to introduce a warning instead of a fine for minor traffic rule violations in Uzbekistan. The relevant law was approved at the Senate's eleventh general session.

Now, if a driver commits a minor violation for the first time, no fine will be imposed; instead, the driver will be warned with an explanation of the consequences of the action. In addition, the law specifically defines the list of violations recorded by automated photo and video cameras, and stipulates that the penalty must be applied within one month from the date the violation is recorded.

According to senators, these measures will help increase the culture of compliance with traffic rules, prevent violations, and strengthen citizens' trust in state authorities.
