The number of road accident victims decreased in Uzbekistan
In January-September of the current year, 1.3 thousand people died as a result of road traffic accidents in Uzbekistan. This was announced at the Senate's plenary session.

Compared to last year, the number of fatalities decreased by 4.8 percent, and the number of injured was reduced from 4.7 thousand to 4.6 thousand. According to Qutbiddin Burkhonov, Chairman of the Defense and Security Issues Committee, more than 5.8 thousand road traffic accidents were registered in the country during this period, which is 3.8 percent less than last year.

The number of accidents involving pedestrians has also decreased – from 2,855 to 2,689, indicating a 5.8 percent reduction.
