Taliban Bans Afghans from Participating in Foreign Armed Conflicts

The Taliban bans Afghans from participating in foreign combat operations

According to the Afghan government, Afghan citizens are prohibited from participating in combat operations abroad. This was reported by TOLONews, citing Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Muttaqi stated that "protecting the system is not only the responsibility of the security forces, defense, and interior ministries but a duty of every citizen."

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Afghan territory should not be used against other states. He noted that the government would not permit anyone to engage in combat operations outside Afghanistan and that violators of this rule would face punishment.

Additionally, religious leaders have called on the government to ensure that Afghanistan does not become involved in regional conflicts and to strictly punish those participating in foreign battles.
