The phone scandal and political signals behind Tashiev's resignation...

A big news that unexpectedly appeared on the political stage of Kyrgyzstan - the dismissal of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchibek Tashiev, - has intensified various speculations both in society and among experts. Usually, decisions of this level are declared "peaceful," but this time the chain of events seems very multifaceted.

Regional expert Arkady Dubnov noted that President Sadyr Japarov's dismissal of not only Tashiyev, but also his three deputies at the same time, was an important signal. Because this step practically eliminates the possibility that "the former chairman will regain his position." That is, it's not just a simple exchange of footage, but a simultaneous disconnection of the points of influence of the entire system.

According to Dubnov, Tashiyev learned of his resignation at a hospital in Munich. Since he has previously undergone heart surgery, he undergoes medical examinations at regular intervals. At that time, sources familiar with the situation in Bishkek said that before the presidential decree, there was a loud telephone conversation between Japarov and Tashiev. In short, it's not just ordinary conversation - it's communication with "significant warmth."

The official version was initially explained as "preventing fragmentation in society, including within state structures, and strengthening unity." However, shortly after, the president's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, clarified the situation: the problem may be related not to Tashiyev himself, but to some of his close associates who used his name. Reportedly, they called parliamentarians and other influential figures and tried to incite various actions.

According to the expert, there are opinions that some individuals close to Tashiev appealed to officials and urged them to talk in the spirit of "joining the general's side." This situation can be perceived as a blow to the balance of trust between government agencies. In politics, the scenario "they're saying it on my behalf" is even more dangerous than saying "I will say it." Because this disrupts order very quickly.

Dubnov recalls another important point: in Kyrgyzstan, in certain circles, there were also secret discussions that the general could be the first person in the country, and the actual first person would give way to him. These thoughts are linked to the events of 2020: hints are made about the political turning points of that time, the departure of former president Sooronbay Jeenbekov from power, and the formation of the current tandem.

Of course, these statements are expert points of view and interpretations of the situation. However, the fact is that with one decision, both the position, the deputies, and the sphere of influence changed dramatically. Therefore, there is a high probability that an era of "new rules" has begun in Kyrgyzstan's security system.

The main question now is: is this decision really for "strengthening unity" or for completely reformatting competition within the elite? Time will reveal everything. But one thing is clear in politics: when big figures leave, the stage doesn't empty - the stage is rebuilt.
