In the Republic of Bashkortostan, a local resident, out of jealousy and while under the influence of alcohol, attacked his wife with a skewer during a domestic dispute. This was reported by the Karmaskalinsky Interdistrict Court.
According to the court materials, the man, being intoxicated, had an argument with his wife. During the conflict, driven by jealousy, he took a skewer used for cooking kebabs and stabbed the woman in the chest area.
After the incident, the suspect fled the scene. The victim received timely medical assistance, thanks to which her life was saved.
During the court hearing, the defendant did not fully admit his guilt and stated that he only wanted to “scare” his wife.
Taking into account the unserved part of the sentence from a previous conviction, the Karmaskalinsky Interdistrict Court sentenced the man to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a special-regime correctional colony.
