Kamchibek Tashiev, one of the most influential and powerful figures in Kyrgyzstan, has unexpectedly left his post. A new decree signed by President Sadyr Japarov has dismissed not only the head of the State Committee for National Security, but also three of his deputies. This event indicates that major political changes are beginning in the neighboring country.

Kamchibek Tashiev is currently in Munich, Germany. According to reports, the former leader is undergoing planned treatments there due to old heart pain. Recall that in 2021 he also underwent a complex surgical procedure in Germany.
The most interesting thing is that Tashiev heard the news of his resignation only in Munich, after the decree was announced. This is reported by sources close to him.
President's comment: Unity is above all
Sadir Japarov explained this drastic decision by the country's strategic interests. According to him, the main goal is to prevent division between state systems and maintain cohesion in society.
The candidate for the leadership of the National Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan, experienced General Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, was put forward. A personnel "reshuffle" was also carried out in the Security Council.

Kamchibek Tashiev is a "living legend" of Kyrgyz politics. Born in 1968 in Jalal-Abad, this figure has gone from engineering to high politics:

- 2012: Noisy rallies in the Kumtor case and life in prison.
- 2020: Becoming Sadyr Japarov's closest support after the October events.
He was awarded the title of Hero of Kyrgyzstan in 2022 and was promoted to the rank of colonel general. For the past six years, he has been perceived as the second most powerful person in the country.
The next step - the presidency?
Political analysts do not consider this resignation to be in vain. Many believe that this step may be a preparation for early presidential elections, which may be held this year. The possibility of Tashiev joining the presidential race has become the main intrigue on the political scene of Kyrgyzstan.
