At the Kapshagay Reservoir in Kazakhstan, a car slid over the ice and sank into the cold water under the ice cover.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
It was reported that two women were in the car at the time of the incident. Rescue service forces and equipment were immediately deployed to the scene.
Rescuers organized a safe access lane for the vehicle, using special safety devices and equipment designed for working on ice.
As a result of operational actions, both women were quickly removed from the car and transported to the shore. The injured were provided with the necessary medical assistance on the spot.
