The falling asleep of the Italian Prime Minister at the Olympics sparked a live discussion

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni caused widespread discussion online after falling asleep at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Spain. The event, which took place at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, was broadcast live on the Italian TV channel Rai1, during which the Prime Minister fell asleep and was captured by cameras.
Observers noted that Meloni sat passively during the ceremony with signs of fatigue and at one point closed her eyes on the back. These footage quickly spread on social media and were viewed differently by users - some viewed it as disrespect, while others received it with humor.
So far, the Prime Minister himself and the Italian government have not officially commented on this situation.
Interestingly, there were recent reports that the image of the angel in the fresco at the Church of San Lorenzo in Lucina in Italy resembled Giorgia Meloni. In that case too, officials emphasized that this similarity was accidental.
