Scientists have found a natural and simple way to strengthen memory

There is no need for expensive medications or special courses to strengthen memory and attention. This is evidenced by the results of a recent study published in the scientific journal "Food & Function" (F&F). Scientists have found that regular consumption of whole grains significantly improves mental activity in middle-aged and older people and reduces the risk of age-related memory loss.

The study involved more than 5,000 people living in China, whose average age was over 64. Experts carefully analyzed the participants' eating habits and compared the results with tests for memory, attention, and mental speed.

It turned out that participants who consumed approximately 75 grams of whole grain products (including wheat, suly, or rye) daily showed high results on all cognitive tests. They were 18% less likely to experience mild mental disorders and memory impairment.

Interestingly, the connection between grain consumption and verbal memory, concentration, and quick thinking is particularly evident. Scientists explain this by the important substances in the grain - natural fibers, B vitamins, magnesium, and antioxidants. These elements protect brain neurons, improve blood circulation, and support mental activity.

The authors of the study note that even a slight increase in the proportion of whole grains in the diet can be an easy and natural way to maintain brain health in older age.

Therefore, scientists recommend adding whole grain bread, sulu, or rye marshes at breakfast or lunch every day. This not only strengthens memory, but also increases overall energy and maintains a stable mood.
