Uzbekistan sent aid to Iran

Uzbekistan has sent a humanitarian shipment to Iran, according to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry. The cargo included essential food products, medicines and medical supplies intended to support people in need. Reports Uznews.uz.

The shipment contained flour, rice, sugar, pasta, sunflower oil and canned goods, along with pharmaceuticals and other medical items. Uzbek officials said the aid had already been handed over to the Iranian side.

An official reception ceremony was held for the delivery. Among those attending were Daregaz Mayor Mojtaba Bazmara, Ali Masumifar, an adviser to Iran’s foreign minister and head of the Foreign Ministry’s office in Razavi Khorasan province, and Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani.

During the event, Iranian officials expressed gratitude to the president of Uzbekistan for the humanitarian assistance and for the attention shown to the Iranian people. They said the move reflected the long-standing traditions of friendship, solidarity and mutual support between the two countries.
