In the period from January to September of the current year, 5.3 billion soums were returned to consumers in Tashkent city. This was reported based on information from the city department of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.
It was reported that during this period, more than 7,600 applications had been received from consumers in the city, of which 52 percent were resolved in favor of consumers. In addition, advertising sector issues were identified in about 1,000 organizations.
As a result, fines were imposed on 66 companies, with their total amount reaching 659 million soums. According to the results of the inspections, the department added 11 financially significant organizations to the state register.
