205 million soums worth of medicine found from a fake pilgrim

At Tashkent airport, a person posing as an Umrah pilgrim was found attempting to illegally bring in medicines worth 205 million soums. This was reported by the State Customs Committee.

This person arrived from Delhi to Tashkent and incorrectly assumed that pilgrims returning from Umrah are not subject to customs inspection. According to the Committee, the man changed his clothes in the airport bathroom and tried to pass himself off as a pilgrim.

However, when customs officers inspected his luggage, they discovered that he was attempting to illegally bring in more than 1,700 packages of medicines.
