New Mayor Appointed for Gulistan City

A new mayor has been appointed for Guliston city
Farrukh Uktamjonov has been appointed as the new mayor of Guliston city. His appointment was approved during an extraordinary session of the city's Council of People's Deputies.

Prior to this appointment, Farrukh Uktamjonov served as the First Deputy Head of the Syrdarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs. He succeeds Jamoliddin Khojimanov in this position.

During the session, important issues concerning the city's development were also discussed. In particular, it was noted that the city is lagging behind in efforts to reduce poverty, ensure employment, attract investments, and boost exports.
