Last November, Presidential Administration adviser Komil Allamjonov proposed introducing 10-year visas for Uzbek citizens. The proposal was also supported by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, who said the initiative could help develop American tourism.
As a reminder, since the beginning of this year Uzbekistan has introduced a visa-free regime for US citizens for up to 30 days. The measure aims to expand economic and humanitarian ties.
