Child support can’t be hidden: company that reduced alimony held liable

Based on an enforcement document handled by the Yangiobod District Department of the Bureau, alimony was ordered to be collected from debtor I.K. in favor of claimant Z.S. for the children’s maintenance from monthly wages and other income.

The debtor’s workplace was identified, and pursuant to Article 64 of the Law, alimony collection was directed to his salary.

However, an inspection conducted with the involvement of a DMNI specialist found that the company had been transferring an amount smaller than specified in the demand notice.

As a result, full recovery of the unpaid alimony debt totaling 35 million soums was ensured.

In addition, an administrative fine equal to 15 times the BHM was imposed under Article 198² of the Administrative Code on the company’s responsible employee for failing to transfer alimony in full and on time, and it was fully collected as well.

Child support is not a debt—it is a duty. Trying to conceal it means bypassing both the law and conscience.
