Telegram has released its first major update of 2026. It introduces features that make working with content easier—most notably smart summaries for long posts and a refreshed look for the iOS app interface. This was reported by kursiv.uz.reports.
One of the key updates is an AI-powered paraphrasing feature. It automatically generates concise summaries for long channel messages as well as content on Instant View pages.
Telegram said the solution relies on open AI models launched on a decentralized network called Cocoon. According to the company, this approach helps protect user data and ensures encryption during request processing.
On iOS, a “liquid glass” visual design has been fully implemented: transparency and light-refraction effects are reflected across interface elements.
Users can also control these visual effects manually. To do so, Telegram suggests adjusting appearance effects via “Settings → Power Saving” to optimize performance and extend device battery life.
Telegram also noted that throughout 2025 it released more than 75 new features across 13 major updates. According to the company, updates were delivered on average every 26 days, and at times the gap was only 8 days.
