In Uzbekistan, it is planned to introduce a warning instead of a fine for minor traffic violations. The corresponding law was approved at the eleventh plenary session of the Senate.
Now, if a driver commits a minor offense for the first time, he will be limited to a warning with an explanation of the consequences, without being fined. In addition, the law clarifies the list of violations detected by photo and video cameras, and establishes that punishment must be imposed within one month from the date the incident is recorded.
Senators expressed confidence that these measures will help increase the culture of compliance with traffic rules, prevent offenses, and strengthen citizens' trust in state authorities.
