As of December 1, 2025, the number of companies with foreign capital operating in Uzbekistan reached 17,900, according to official data provided by the State Statistics Committee. This figure reaffirms the country's continued attractiveness for foreign investments.
Analyses reveal that the trade sector remains the most appealing direction for foreign businesses. Currently, 6,400 companies with foreign capital are operating in this sector. This is attributed to the activity of the domestic market, high consumer demand, and expanding logistical opportunities.
The industrial sector is noted as the second-largest direction, with 3,700 foreign-participated companies registered. These companies primarily engage in processing, manufacturing, and export-oriented production.
Foreign investors are also highly active in the construction and information and communication sectors, with 1,300 companies operating in each. This reflects a growing interest in infrastructure development, digitalization, and technological advancements.
In the hospitality and food service industries, the number of companies with foreign capital stands at 737. The growth in tourism potential and the increasing flow of domestic and international tourists have made this sector attractive for investment as well.
In the transportation and storage sector, 586 companies are currently active, while 447 companies with foreign capital are registered in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors. In the healthcare and social services sector, 209 companies are operating.
In other economic sectors, there are more than 3,000 companies with foreign participation. Overall, 4,200 operating companies are structured as joint ventures, while 13,700 are established on a fully foreign-owned basis.
Experts believe that these figures demonstrate the improvement of the legal environment for investors in Uzbekistan, increased market openness, and growing confidence in the country's economic stability.
