The Hamburg City Court has ruled allegations against Russian entrepreneur Alisher Usmanov and his sister Saodat Narziyeva as baseless. This was announced by Usmanov's lawyer, Joachim Steinhöfel.
According to the court's decision, a German citizen had claimed on Facebook that Usmanov allegedly hid his funds in a Swiss bank account and registered them under his sister, Narziyeva's name. However, it was confirmed that these claims are not factual.
The lawyer stated that the court once again noted that the accusations against Usmanov and his relatives were not substantiated by facts. Furthermore, the European Union removed Saodat Narziyeva from its sanctions list and apologized for her wrongful inclusion.
Representatives of the entrepreneur emphasized that similar statements made in 2022 led to the imposition of sanctions against Saodat Narziyeva by the European Union and the United Kingdom. In September of this year, the same individual claimed on Facebook that Narziyeva was allegedly the beneficiary of accounts in "Credit Suisse" bank.
However, the court declared these allegations false and prohibited the dissemination of such information. Violations of this prohibition could result in fines of up to €250,000 or administrative detention.
