In a statement on Facebook, she stressed that the peoples of Venezuela and the region deserve not war, but peace and dialogue. According to Rodriguez, this stance was put forward by President Nicolas Maduro and has now become a common call of all Venezuela.
Rodriguez also added that Venezuela will defend its right to peace, development, and a future.
Earlier, she condemned US actions aimed at abducting Maduro, saying Washington was targeting Venezuela’s oil resources. It is noted that an operation to detain the Venezuelan president was carried out on January 3 this year, during which US forces also struck military bases in the capital, Caracas. It is reported that fighters from the Delta special unit took part in the operation.
US officials, meanwhile, accuse Maduro of turning the country into a “drug cartel.” According to Washington’s interpretation, Venezuela’s leader and his close associates used state institutions and the military to ship drugs abroad.
