A press conference was held before the first round matches of the U23 Asian Cup. The head coach of the Uzbekistan U23 national team, Ravshan Haydarov, and our footballer, Saidumarxon Saidnurullayev, participated and shared their thoughts on the mood, preparation, and group opponents before the competition.
Ravshan Khaydarov began the conference with a greeting, emphasizing that the competition is being held at a high organizational level.
- Peace be upon you. First of all, we are glad to participate in this competition. Everything is excellent in terms of organization. I express my gratitude to the AFC and the local organizing committee. "I wish all the teams good luck," said the coach.
There was another important aspect in Khaydarov's words: he presented this tournament as a competition of great value for the team. According to him, the Uzbekistan U23 team has always shown good results on this field, so there are high hopes for the next participation.
- We love and respect this competition. Our ranking is high in this tournament. We always achieve high results. "I think that this time we will also participate worthily and achieve a good result," he said.
When it comes to the opponents in the group, the coach did not hide the fact that there is no "easy way." He said that strong teams have accumulated in the group, and their experience and capabilities have been well studied. Nevertheless, Khaydarov openly expressed his trust in his students.
- Of course, strong teams have gathered in our group. We know how they play football and their capabilities. We are participating with a young squad, but I believe in our team. "I also said in a conversation with the players: this tournament serves as a great 'bridge' for them," said the head coach.
Speaking at the press conference, Saidumarxon Saidnurullayev also spoke about the preparation process and the team's internal atmosphere. He emphasized that the training camps were held according to plan, and the team is ready for the competition both mentally and physically.
- The preparations were good. First, we held a training camp in Tashkent, then in Qatar. The adaptation was successful enough. "Our main goal is to perform well in the competition and show high results," said the footballer.
To the question about the internal environment, he gave a short but convincing answer: the team is in high spirits, everyone is united around one goal.
- The atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone is in a good mood. We understand what kind of tournament awaits us. "Our team is 100 percent ready for the competition," said Saidnurullayev.
The conclusion is this: the U23 team feels confident before the tournament. The opponents are strong, the pressure is high, but there is preparation, there is an internal atmosphere, and most importantly - the goal is clear. Now everything will be proven on the field.
