Certain roads in the Sergeli and Bektemir districts of Tashkent will be closed to traffic from December 25 to January 10 in connection with New Year celebrations. This was reported by the capital's Main Department of Internal Affairs.
In Sergeli district, traffic will be restricted on the gastronomic street. Specifically, vehicle movement will be temporarily halted on Sugdiyona and Jaloyir streets.
In the Bektemir district, a section of Chirchiqboyi Street near Coca-Cola Garden Park will be closed. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes and plan their travel in advance.
Earlier, traffic restrictions were also implemented in the central parts of the city. Until January 15, sections of Zarafshon, Istiqlol, and Buyuk Turon streets near the National Library will remain closed.
Furthermore, parts of Taras Shevchenko and Said Baraka streets will also be closed until January 5.
