8.5 Trillion Soums Allocated for Development of Neighborhoods

8.5 trillion soums to be allocated for the development of neighborhoods

Starting from 2026, Uzbekistan plans to allocate 8.5 trillion soums for the development of neighborhoods. This was announced during a speech by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressing the parliament and the nation.

The allocated funds are aimed at resolving socio-economic issues in a comprehensive manner at the local level. In each region, 2–3 districts will be selected, where all key issues will be addressed simultaneously.

Additionally, the plan includes the development of entrepreneurial infrastructure. Furthermore, 500 billion soums will be allocated to help deputies address issues in their respective constituencies.

Each deputy will also receive an additional allocation of 330 million soums to initiate the creation of "green" zones and parks. This model is intended to fundamentally transform socially complex neighborhoods and align them with the framework of the New Uzbekistan concept by 2030.
