The next Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and our multinational people is an important event in the life of the country. In it, the head of state specifically touched upon the significant achievements of our country's athletes, in particular, our chess players, in the international arena.
As the president noted, the Uzbek chess school has been gaining high prestige in the world in recent years. “Our skilled chess players have participated worthily in the World Cup. In particular, the fact that our young grandmaster Javakhir Sindarov became the youngest winner of the World Cup gives us all great pride,” the head of state noted.
It was emphasized that this achievement is the result of the effective work and systematic preparation not only of an individual athlete, but also of the entire country's chess school. It is clear that the policy of supporting young talents and creating modern conditions for them is bearing fruit.
The president also singled out the results of another major competition that took place recently. Last week, the Uzbek youth team achieved great success at the World Rapid and Blitz Championships for 9-17-year-old chess players. Representatives of our country won 5 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals in this prestigious competition, taking absolute first place in the overall team standings.
This result once again proves that the future of Uzbek chess is bright, and the potential and competitiveness among the younger generation are at a very high level. According to the president, such victories inspire young people to new heights and further strengthen the country's reputation in the international arena.
Undoubtedly, today's victories of our chess players will serve as a solid foundation for even greater achievements tomorrow.
