Saida Mirziyoyeva says reforms need flexibility and a wise approach rather than sheer resolve

Presidential Administration Head Saida Mirziyoyeva, in an interview with blogger Kirill Altman (AlterEgo YouTube channel), stressed that implementing reforms requires not harshness but flexibility and a thoughtful, rational approach. This was reported by kursiv.uz.reports.

According to her, although reforms in the republic are only beginning, their initial results can already be felt: in particular, doing business in the country has become much easier.

At the same time, Mirziyoyeva noted that despite positive changes, many problems remain, and issues are especially acute in the regions.

She also reminded that the state’s capabilities are limited, explaining these constraints as factors related to geographic conditions, financial resources, and infrastructure. According to Mirziyoyeva, a significant part of the country’s infrastructure, as in other post-Soviet states, is outdated.

Since upgrading infrastructure requires substantial funding, reforms in this area are being carried out step by step. She also emphasized that the head of state knows the governance system well, so he can both wait for results and set high standards.
