Neftchi head to Antalya: a serious start to the new season

Having started preparations for the new season in a planned and systematic way, Neftchi Football Club will hold the first stage of its training camp in Turkey. According to the club’s press service, the “Chinors” will depart for Antalya on 3 January at 10:00.

During the camp in Turkey, the team will place special emphasis on improving players’ physical condition, strengthening tactical and technical readiness, and most importantly, shaping team play ahead of the new season.

Foreign players and additional information

The club reports that foreign players Boyan Siger, Yovan Jokich, Vladimir Yovovich and Zoran Marushich will arrive via the Belgrade–Antalya route, Ratinio via Goyas–Antalya, while Silvanus Nimeli will travel from Liberia to the team base. Experienced defender Farruh Sayfiyev will join the camp from 7 January due to certain reasons.

Asilbek Jumayev and Rustambek Fomin are currently in the UAE camp with Uzbekistan’s U-23 national team. Since they have AFC Asian Cup matches in Saudi Arabia in January, they are expected to join Neftchi after the tournament ends.

In short, Neftchi are heading to Antalya not for a routine camp, but with a “serious plan” for the new season. Every day in camp is now the foundation for future results.
