According to the Fergana Region Department of Internal Affairs press service, law enforcement agencies carried out an оперативный operation over a case related to the illegal circulation of cryptocurrency. This was reported by upl.uzreports.
Internal affairs officers, in cooperation with State Security Service representatives, detained four citizens in Fergana city who were engaged in illegal cryptocurrency exchange. The suspects reportedly operated from a rented house and used bank plastic cards registered in other people’s names.
During the search, 24 plastic cards from various banks, mobile phones, and other devices used in crypto-exchange transactions were found.
A preliminary pre-investigation check is currently underway in connection with this incident.
