Rockstar Games game studio has announced that the release of the GTA VI computer game has been postponed once again. Now the game is expected to be released on November 19, 2026.
"We apologize for adding a little more time to the already long wait. But these extra months will allow us to bring the game up to the level of quality you want and deserve," Rockstar Games said in a statement.
Initially, the game was planned to be released in the fall, but then it was moved to May. GTA VI will be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
The main characters of the new game are Jason and Lucia, who become involved in the criminal underworld of Vice City. As of December 2024, the previous game in the GTA series, GTA V, has sold over 205 million copies and brought its makers $9 billion in revenue.
This game was originally released for consoles in 2013 and for other platforms in 2014. The GTA V story revolves around the residents of the state of San Andreas — Franklin, Michael, and Trevor.
Together, they carry out a series of dangerous heists and, at the same time, try to resolve their personal issues.
